Selamat Detang Ke Singapura

Atlast got some push to write here after a long time. Instead this should have been the first thing to be done after returning from Singapore, my first trip abroad.
Singapore, for me definitely near to a dream city cum country because of it's cleanliness, discipline, modernization etc. The purpose of the trip was training on the tool but have utilized these 12 dyas for going around the entire Singapore. So Welcome to Singapore.

1. Raffles Place and some more near by places:
This is one of the most beautilful, romantic place I have ever been, both in Singapore and India. The Singapore river view from backside of the esplanado theatre, guys from a band singing there and the huge crowd all adds to the romantic atmosphere. Fantastic place to be with a GF.
One more thing that I liked here is the National library somewhere near raffles palce(don't know exactly where as I was just walking and walking and didn't know where I ended up:()
Then comes the Suntec City Mall. The thing that is worth seeing here is the Fountain of Wealth. It is the world's largest fountain. Though I did not have a chance to see the fountain in action due to annual maintainance but looking at its structure is really some thing worth visiting. I met one nice person here named Chris from Germany. Overall had a nice time with this gentleman.

2. Clarke Quay (pronounced as Clarke Kee), Fort Canning Park and Bugis.
This place again fantatsic and morover you won't feel lonely even if you are alone here;).
The babes in the Hooters, near Ministry of sounds, the bongy, the fort canning park near by, all adds to the beauty of this place. Here as well the river view adds up to the atmosphere. Though there's nothing much to see in Fort Canning Park but as and when you climb the fort (to say hill) alone at around 7:00 P.M. and that to alone you'll definitely get the feel of the place especially when you see something like this wierd around.
Bugis is also a nice place to be during the late evening timings. It has a market where you can buy some local stuffs like the way we have fashion street in Pune.

3. Sentosa Island:
This is the major tourist attraction that has many other sub-things to watch for inside it. Though my visit heer was completely ruined by the pouring rain still enjoyed the Dolphin show and the underwater world. But missed all the other fun here as told by my friend. Moreover could not even go to the southern most part of the world(or is it island??) But definitely worth a place going.

4. Pulau Ubin:
This is another island that ocmes under the malaysian territory. Here we got bicycle on rent and just wandered around looking all the possible spots in the small island. This island is said to be a snap shot of typical old era of Malaysia. The life style and all is of that old days. Here there is one resort or hotel where in you can stay. Nice place to be.

5. Night Safari:
This starts in the evening at @ 7:30. A very fantastic place to visit wherein you can see the wild life somewhat tamed and living in a natural habitat, the rain forest. The tram here makes a round around the entire forest and you can have a very closer look at the animal there. You can even see bats but beware of not touching them.

6. Jurong Bird Park and Kinetic garden:
If you like bird watching then do visit this marvellous bird park wherein you'll see as many as thousand's of bird species. You can enjoy the bird show where the parrot sings song in three different languages and yes one more thing, if it is your birthday then do visit this place. The parrot will sing "Happy Birthday" song;-)
There's one more thing here and that is the Jurong waterfall. This is the tallest artifical waterfall ever made(30 m tall). From here I had been to chinese garden, snow city and Kinetic Garden. This one place "Kinetic garden" is worth mentioning as it demonstrates some of the nice scientific applications, for e.g., the Archimedes screw the principle of which can be used to raise the water at lower level to a higher level.

I think I have covered almost all the places that I have visited. Arrrrrr onemore place my office. Hey you can also visit this place for interview in Honeywell, IBM and all.

Overall I had a very nice time here but most of the time somehow the economy there and all other stuffs like discipline, automation and all made me think that how is it possible in such a city. And I just could resist my self asking my friend and trainer as well there. So I got the same answer from both and that was. Everything (almost), even water, in Singapore is imported from Malaysia, Thailand and other countires. Also the man power there is very less. So the people there are aware of this set back and hence tend to be so much disciplined. They don't have any welfare organization running to collect any of the garbage there and many other things. So they themselve will never make any dirt in the city. The talk with my trainer onto this point was one of the memorable thing in this trip.

One more memorable event is that I made it, almost everywhere, to reach a museum when it is closed. So overall I had been at the doorstep of many museums but closed;).
